I have never watched a hypnosis video that's even 45 minutes long. Actually I started one, but did not watch it to the end. IF the experience is hypnotic per se, it obviously deepens and deepens towards the end, and after 3 hours 45 minutes, it is somewhat ... deep. Amnesia could happen.

A medium will do much worse than just hypnotise you. Giving a hypnotic experience, and it lasts 3 hours and more, amnesia is one possible side effect from trance. NOT what Leviticus is talking about.
If you want to know what mediums really do, read Oedipus Rex. If you don't know Attic, there are translations (I admit, before the test I did use a Loeb edition).
If you want to know what consulting one really is like, read Aeneid VI. If you don't know Latin (and here I didn't use Loeb) ...

There is a big difference between getting into a trance generally speaking (prayer usually involves trance, and using hypnosis for combatting stress is licit, as long as one isn't trying to obtain supernatural results), and invoking a demon to control the trance, or getting into a demon controlled trance when it doesn't even remotely feel good for one.
The demon in both Oedipus Rex and Aeneid VI is called Apollo. The five cases of his name in Greek gematria add up to 2666. Did you know there is a professional corps which often, not always, swears by that name ...?

Note, Fr. Reehil is not saying she was consciously invoking demons to come, he says she was giving them an occasion they are not likely to miss, whether she was aware or not.
